Adapting Azure to a new format — the plastic jar

We carried Azure's recognizability and premium feel from the laminated pouch into a plastic jar: three design concepts and branded print.

Azure — packaging in the plastic jar format

The client

Azure

A shisha tobacco brand traditionally sold in a laminated pouch.

Premium character and recognizability — exactly what couldn't be lost in the switch to a new format.

The task

Move the brand into a jar

Adapt the brand to the new plastic jar format while keeping its recognizability and premium feel.

Develop three design concepts for the client to choose from.

— ABD's role

What we did

Packaging and branded print — from jar concepts to accessories.

Three packaging concepts

Concept #1 — simplified graphics with the triangle as the key mark; #2 — horizontal logic and color segments; #3 — the premium version.

A premium finish

The client chose concept #3 — it holds the brand's recognizability and premium character in the new jar format.

Black / Gold print

A brochure on a branded grid and business cards with spot varnish — a single premium presentation system.

Accessories

A lanyard with the logo-pattern and a name hanger with a signature field.

— Result

Premium feel in a new format

The client chose the premium concept: the jar holds the brand's recognizability and character, while a single system carries through to print and accessories.
